Under the situation that the Communist Party of China proposed to build a well-off society by 2020,there still exist a large number of poor disabled groups in China. It is a top priority to help these people get rid of poverty, among whom children with disabilities are in great need for care and protection. This is because they have been on the verge of family and society for a long time and their interests cannot be guaranteed.Besides, families with disabled children, most of the case, will confront a more complicated social environment.China's social support for families with disabled children is insufficient in terms of parenting, rehabilitation, medical care, education, employment, and social welfare, leaving such families with prolonged multiple burdens of raising children. This paper is intended to improve the ability of families with disabled children to face crisis situations by developing a specific family resilience improvement program for children with disabilities. The thesis mainly studies one specific case to improve the resilience of family with disabled children by serving the disabled children's families in the special education school of Y County of Pingxiang City and providing professional social work service.First of all, when taking part in a program of Jiangxi Province, the author has chosen a family of disabled children as the research object after many interactions and interviews with the kids as well as a steady relation formed with the special education school in this county. And the stress resistance status of the subject is monitored through the RSA scale.Based on the analysis of the individual and family level of the service object, the network of the family structure is sorted out,and the advantages and resources of the family are discovered and explored, which serves as a powerful driving force and entry point to support the family's resilience of disabled children.Secondly, the thesis draws on Professor Walsh's general family resilience model, focusing on the three dimensions of the family's belief system, organizational model and communication process, and enables them to maintain rational when in danger or trouble, thus their perspective towards disability will be changed and the positiveattitudes towards families will be formed. What's more, the unfavorable factors affecting family communication will be improved with family conflicts reconciled and social support networks built. And the family will become more harmonious with the roles each family member plays clear. Finally, the effects of social work interventions are tested by pre-and post-test data. The study revealed that social work interventions in strengthening the family resilience of disabled children have achieved positive results. The object has enhanced the positive belief in life and the motivation to change. The family atmosphere has become harmonious, and the individual's self-efficacy and family identity have gradually improved.Last, the author hopes that through the research of this thesis,it can provide some reference and localization thinking for the study of the social resilience of disabled children in social work.
