In May 2014,Narendra Modi won the Indian election as the 15 th Prime Minister of India with an “overwhelming” advantage.Due to Modi's strong style,it was widely believed that India had a new “strong government”.After Modi came to power, the Indian government's foreign policy, especially the China policy, has become the focus of the outside world. After the end of the Cold War,due to the reorganization of the global strategic structure, the geopolitical advantages of the Indian Ocean region have become increasingly prominent, and Sino-Indian relations have become one of the more complex bilateral relations between Asia and the Indian Ocean.China and India have both the strategic interests based on similar history and the fragility of geopolitical competition. With the rise of China and India and the rising status of the Indian Ocean,China and India not only have increased common interests, but also intensified competition. At the same time,India is still in a favorable position to be drawn from outside the country. After Prime Minister Modi came to power, the aggressive attitude of Indian diplomacy became more apparent, hoping to transform from a "balanced power" in global status to a "leadership." The adjustment of foreign policy during the Modi government period was mainly reflected in the "Indo-Taiwan" region and the bilateral relations between China and India. In the "Indo-Taiwan" region,India has not only cooperated with the United States and Japan to establish a "small multilateral" mechanism to hedge China's "One Belt,One Road" initiative, but also actively develops diplomatic relations with neighboring countries to hinder China's development in South Asia..At the level of Sino-Indian relations, old problems such as Sino-Indian border disputes still exist. At the same time,in terms of security,India still has "strategic anxiety" toward China, but the two countries have steadily advanced in economic and trade cooperation.Sino-Indian relations are one of the more complicated bilateral relations in the Asian and Indian Ocean regions. After the end of the Cold War,the global strategic structure was reorganized and the importance of the Indian Ocean region became increasingly prominent.China and India have both the strategic interests based on similar history and the fragility of geopolitical competition. With the rise of China and India and the rising status of the Indian Ocean,China and India not only have increased common interests, but also intensified competition. At the same time,India is still in a favorable position to be drawn from outside the country.Observing the diplomatic practice of China from the "strong government" led by Modi,we can find that the continuity of China's policy during the Modi government period is greater than the variability. The Modi government pays attention to pragmatic diplomacy and serves the strategic goals through continuous adjustment of diplomatic means, with a view to achieving the "dream of a big country with great enthusiasm." In order to better grasp the priorities and appeals of India's diplomacy to China, this paper first analyzes Modi's China policy after taking office, and then studies the reasons why Modi's government adjusts its China policy, focusing on the influence of Modi's government's adjustment of China's policy. And the dilemma facing. Therefore, studying the China policy during the Modi government and expounding the status quo of Sino-Indian relations have realistic guiding significance for China and India.
