With the progress of technology,rural farming mechanization step by step,thus a large number of surplus labor force into the town to work,The situation which is not very optimistic for these migrants from rural areas to migrant work,they are mostly engaged in "dirty","tired" heavy physical labor,who are disadvantaged groups of the labor market In addition,a new generation of migrant workers began to gradually enter the labor market,due to the living environment is different to two generations of migrant workers,there is a big difference for two generations of migrant workers in the individual characteristics.For better to migrant workers into cities,the study of these differences is necessary.This paper adopts the data of floating income of China Income Research Institute,and makes a simple statistical description of the basic situation of migrant workers.Then,the Cox risk proportion model is used to explore the individual characteristics,human capital,social capital,Job search channel and other factors on the work of migrant workers to search the impact of the direction and the extent of its impact.The results show that the significant effect of individual characteristics on the search time of migrant workers,which is mainly in terms of gender and health status.Women's search time is shorter than that of men.The better the health status is,the longer the search time is.The higher the educational level of migrant workers,the search time is longer.Migrant workers mainly rely on relatives and friends and other social network channels to find work,work search channel is relatively simple.Through the above conclusions,on in behalf of shorten the search time of migrant workers,this paper proposes to strengthen the compulsory education and skills training of migrant workers,the government needs to improve the relevant labor law,maintain the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers,increasing the supervision of the secondary labor market and other policy recommendations.
