Analysis On The Present Situation And Problems Of Home-Based Care For The Aged In Xiangyang Urban Communities

Community home care is a common Pension mode in urban China,that model meets the habits of the elderly.CHC(Community home care)has been widely recognized in many places worldly,and in China,that mode conforms the development direction of China's aging industry.After 20 year of aging society in China,This paper selected a representative city in the central region as the research object,and explores the development of the community's home-based pension model.This paper aims to analyze the current situation and problems of CHC in Xiangyang City(Hubei Province),explore the happiness of the elderly,and improve the old-age pension model of urban community in Xiangyang City.The case analysis indicate that CHC in Xiangyang City(Hubei Province)is still in its infancy,for instance,the community committee's ability is insufficient capacity,and the capital investment is unable to meet the needs of the elderly.The government departments,community committees,social pension institutions and the elderly groups are not well integrated.Although the elderly' life satisfaction have reached a high level,they are less satisfied with the above participants,and many pension needs of elderly are not guaranteed.These problems mainly reflected in two aspects: 1,the government's policy measures are not comprehensive and specific,and insufficient execution;2,the CHC social institution is lack of multiple modes.Rude services,lack of innovation and sustainability are resulting in low evaluation of the CHC.The root of the problems is lacking of interactive communication,and the pension resources are not organically integrated.Therefore,the government-led,community-building,social-participation,family-integration,each part performs its duties to establish a highly integrated community home care model.This model aims to strengthen social pension atmosphere and improve happiness of the elderly.
