Community Social Capital And Residents' Participation:the Mediating Role Of Community Belonging

Promoting national governance systems and governance capacity modernization is the ultimate goal of deepening the reform of our country,city community governance plays an important role to promote the system innovation of grassroots social governance as a part of the system in the national governance-social governance-community governance.The nineteen stresses the need to improve the social governance system of Party committee leadership,government responsibility,social coordination,public participation and legal protection.Community residents' participation in community affairs is not only the need of community democracy at the grass-roots level,but also the key to the effectiveness of community governance.But the current participate of residents is the interests of induction basically,community residents are lacking active participation consciousness,this problem has become a bottleneck of community governance in China at the present stage,so the important is try to improve the level of participation,and inspire the community residents enthusiasm,finally realize the community multiple governance pattern.The participation behavior of community residents is influenced by many factors.One of the most important factors is the level of social capital in community.In order to explore the influence mechanism of social capital for community residents participate,This paper establishes a theoretical model with community social capital as independent variable,community residents' participation as dependent variable,and community belonging as mediator variable.This article are widely distributed questionnaire in Hexi District,analysis the data using correlation analysis,reliability analysis,structural equation model,the results show that the positive correlation of social capital and the participation,the positive correlation of community social capital and the sense of belonging,the positive correlation of the sense of belonging and participate.This paper also explores the mediating effect of the sense of community belonging to enriches the system framework of the study.Finally this paper puts forward suggestions to promote community social capital and residents' participation.It includes four aspects: developing community network,strengthening community trust,perfecting community network and training community ownership.
