Case Work Intervention In Spiritual Comfort Of Long-term Caregivers In Disabled Elderly Families

With the rapid development of economy and society,China's population aging is becoming more and more serious.By the end of 2017,the population of 60-year-old and above in China has reached 241 million,of which more than 40 million are disabled.Care for disabled elderly mainly relies on family,children and relatives.Due to old age,disease and other self-reasons,the disabled elderly need long-term caregivers for basic diet and living.Long-term care services make family caregivers physically and mentally exhausted,anxious and depressed,which is not conducive to the long-term health of family caregivers.This paper chooses Grandma Wang,a family long-term caregiver,as the research object.From the perspective of social work,the author uses professional case work skills to provide spiritual consolation for long-term caregivers of the disabled elderly in an individualized way.By reducing the burden of long-term care,improving the skills of care and case interviews,etc,it gradually relieves the mental pressure of the long-term caregivers of the disabled elderly,fully taps the potential of the long-term caregivers themselves,and reignites the confidence of the protagonist in life.This paper studies the spiritual consolation of the protagonist from the perspective of case work.After establishing professional relationship between the case worker and the protagonist,the relevant information of the protagonist is collected through case interviews.Through the data,it is referred that the protagonist has many problems,such as overburden of care,lack of care skills,financial difficulties,and tense parent-child relationship.It leads to psychological anxiety and mental depression.In order to alleviate the psychological pressure of the protagonist,the case worker works out a service plan through consultation with the protagonist,providing breathing service for the protagonist to establish a social support network and reducing the burden of the protagonist's care through counseling,recruiting care volunteers,holding family meetings,applying for special care and guiding the protagonist to participate in community activities.It alleviates the parent-child relationship of the protagonist,improves the care skills of the protagonist,gradually alleviates the psychological anxiety and depression of the protagonist,and finally basing on the form of anterior and posterior evaluation criteria,determines that the service has achieved the effect of spiritual comfort.Finally,the conclusions of this study are as follows:First,the psychological stress of family long term care worker is enormous.Long-term care services makes family caregivers feel great pressure;second,case work for family long-term care workers plays an important role in the spirit of consolation.Based on the research and literature review,the following suggestions are put forward:first,social workers and other social organizations should increase the attention of long-term family caregivers;second,the community should set up a social support network to provide long-term family care workers with breathing services;Third,the government should promulgates relevant policies to promote the development of community home care services.
