Research On The Construction Of Security Community Between China And ASEAN Countries Under The Background Of "The Belt And Road"

Since the beginning of the 21st century,China’s comprehensive national strength has rapidly increased and China has become the world’s second largest economy.At the same time,China’s international identity and economic status have a certain gap,some countries do not accept China’s rise.Based on the domestic and foreign situation has undergone profound changes,The Diplomatic Idea of Great Powers with Chinese Characteristics Constantly Innovating.We put forward the "The Belt and Road initiative" on global governance,"new Asian security concept" on international security and the idea of a "Community of shared future for mankind" on global values.Because of the strategic importance of ASEAN,The Chinese government insists on ASEAN as the priority direction of its neighboring diplomacy,the proposal of "jointly building China-ASEAN destiny community" was put forward.In this context,the focus of this paper is to demonstrate the feasibility of establishing a security community between China and ASEAN countries.This paper first discusses the domestic and foreign background of the "The Belt and Road initiative",and then explores the necessity of building China-ASEAN security community,expounds the existing economic,security,concept and institutional basis of China and ASEAN.Because the existing security community theory can not be directly applied to the construction of this new community.The author uses the research paradigm of Analytical Eclecticism,using the existing theory and combined with the relevant content of "The Belt and Road initiative" proposed a new analysis framework,to discuss the stages and influencing factors of the construction of China-ASEAN security community.Finally,the paper explains the problems and challenges faced by China-ASEAN security community,and analyzes the root causes from various aspects to clarify the main direction of security community construction.
