Chinese Trade Unions serve as the bridge and link between the Communist Party of China and most workers.As an important part of the state power,Chinese Trade Unions also represent the interests of staff.With the rapid development of our country's socialist market economy system,the number of employees in China is increasing and profound changes have taken place in forms of enterprise organizations,structures of staff as well as labor relations.The demands of staff for social services,such as protection of legitimate rights,work values and all-round development are growing now.The grass-roots social governance has a higher standard and trade union work should be more effective.Therefore,improving their welfare level and establishing harmonious labor relations play a significant role in social issues of the new era.Trade union projects mainly distribute in Shenzhen and Guangzhou,but they are relatively few at present.So practical researches about social work of trade union in China is still in the initial stage and lack enough theoretical depth,especially for researches of the social work of trade unions in Guangzhou as an example.Most essays illustrate the development process,modes and characteristic plans about corporate social work,instead of combining with the trade union platform.Social workers should further explore how to blend trade unions with social work,and sort out needs of workers and integrate social resources.As the first trade union project purchased by the government in Guangzhou,the trade union project of H District is of great significance.From the perspective of empowerment theory and social development theory,the writer did researches about the social work of trade unions through observation and interviews.The part one distinguishes and defines the social work of trade unions and its similar concepts through overviews of domestic and foreign literature;The part two explains details and effects of the trade union project,while there are some problems in it such as differences between the top-level design and real demands,the low feasibility of services,unsuccessful cooperation of relevant organizations as well as irregularmanagement.Also,reasons are analyzed in this part.Based on the existing social resources and social work's methods,the last part explores measures from the management mechanism,the evaluation system and so on.Besides,social workers are required to consider how to combine enterprises' characteristics with trade unions and develop a sense of community among staff.In conclusion,it is expected to enhance local characteristics and professionalism and perfect the management mechanism of social work agencies,so as to promote the development of social work in private enterprises' trade unions.Through this research,improvements of trade unions in social work need joint efforts including the government,enterprises,non-governmental organizations,social workers,volunteers and Internet publicity platforms.In this way,social workers can accumulate local and professional experiences of the social work of trade unions in China.
