The solution of social, economic, political, demographic, ideological and other problems in the context of the global interaction of states is impossible without taking into account migration changes, since migration, manifesting its contradictory nature, can be both a source of instability and a factor in the accelerated development of any country and region.Of particular interest is the experience of migration interaction in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region(APR),namely in North-East Asia(NEA),where Russia and China have finally begun to implement economic integration and create a unified economic space in the future. One of the important aspects of Russian-Chinese relations both at the interstate and at the regional level is Chinese migration, which itself carries integration links, while playing a rather controversial role in the economic development of the TransBaikal Territory. The need to integrate the region into Northeast Asia is obvious.Firstly, all key areas of the Trans-Baikal Territory life in the conditions of the transboundary region are determined to one degree or another by its interaction with China.Secondly, the implementation of the programs of socio-economic development of the Far East and the Trans-Baikal Territory declared by the Government of the Russian Federation are closely related to solving the problems of not only internal, but also external migration of the population.Emphasizing the high scientific, theoretical and practical level of scientific research mentioned in this research,we should nevertheless recognize the insufficient scientific elaboration of the problems of international migration in the Trans-Baikal Territory, which is a consequence of the lack of systematic studies of this phenomenon in the region. In contrast to previous researches, the concept of “migration systems” is used in this work to analyze Chinese migration, which allowed us to prove that the formation of a stable interdependence of Russia and China on the path to economic integration depends to a large extent on their migration interaction. As for the direct content of this interaction on the territory of the Trans-Baikal Territory,it should consist not only in optimizing the regional development of border areas, but also in using the migration potential in the national interests of each of the parties.
