Since the reform and opening up,China's industrialization and urbanization have accelerated.Large numbers of rural laborers leave the land and migrate to cities for non-agricultural work.In this context,a new group of "migrant workers" was born.According to “The Migrant Workers Monitoring Survey Report In 2018”,the total number of migrant workers was 28.836 million at the end of 2018.Migrant workers make up one fifth of China's population.76.1% of the migrant workers are between 21 and 50 years old.Therefore,young migrant workers are the main force of economic construction.The development of their vocational ability is related to the speed of the socialist modernization process.Due to the urban-rural dual household registration system and uneven urban-rural development,the human capital and social capital stocks of young migrant workers are relatively low.And the growth rate is slow.As a result,the vocational ability of young migrant workers is low.Young migrant workers' vocational ability is slowly improved.Therefore,exploring the influence mechanism of human capital and social capital on the vocational ability of young migrant workers has important practical guiding significance for improving the vocational ability of young migrant workers and accelerating the process of socialist modernization.Based on the survey data of young migrant workers in Sanming City,this study uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method and econometric analysis method to analyze the vocational ability of young migrant workers from the theory of human capital,the theory of social capital and the new public service theory.Firstly,this study systematically combs the research status of human capital,social capital and vocational ability,then establishes the theoretical basis,defines the relevant concepts and introduces the relevant theories.Secondly,based on the evaluation standards of vocational ability at home and abroad,this study uses factor analysis to build the evaluation model of vocational ability.According to the results of factor analysis,vocational ability is measured from seven dimensions: professional technical ability,network construction ability,physiological adaptation ability,future expectation ability,disease resistance ability,learning absorption ability and opportunity exploration ability.And the vocational ability is quantified based on the variance contribution rate and cumulative variance contribution rate.Thirdly,based on the survey data,this study analyzes the basic characteristics of young migrant workers from gender,age,marriage,political appearance,location of household registration,and nature of household registration.The human capital status of young migrant workers is analyzed from the aspects of education,health status,training expenses,medical insurance expenses and insurance number.Thesocial capital status of young migrant workers is analyzed from the aspects of social network scale,social network component,social network effectiveness,social network practicability and emotional support.Fourthly,this study builds a linear regression model that includes human capital and social capital to explore the impact of human capital and social capital on vocational ability and seven-dimensional ability.Then study shows that part of human capital plays a positive role in vocational ability,and the role in each dimension of vocational ability is different;part of social capital plays a positive role in vocational ability,and the role in each dimension of vocational ability is different;part of human capital and part of social capital have significant or no significant effect on vocational ability,which is caused by the difference of direction and degree of their effect on various dimensions of vocational ability.Finally,based on the new public service theory,empirical analysis and research interviews,this study put forward some suggestions that promote the young migrant workers vocational ability from government level,social level,corporate level and personal level.
