A Study On The Adaptability Of The Elderly In Urban Pension Institutions

With the increasing of the aging population in China,the problem of providing for the aged brings more and more pressure to the individual,family and social development.Due to the weakening of the family pension function,the community pension model is not fully mature,which can not meet the needs of the society for pension.As one of the mainstream pension methods,institutional pension has attracted more and more attention of the society.Due to the high living standard of the elderly in the city,the elderly have higher requirements for all aspects of the elderly care institutions.After entering the elderly care institutions,there will inevitably be problems such as maladjustment.How to effectively promote the elderly to actively adapt to pension institutions has become an urgent issue.In the current context,the importance of social work for the elderly is self-evident.This study is based on the in-depth observation of the three-month internship in L pension institution of Hefei,focusing on the adaptability of the elderly living in the pension institution.There are five chapters in this paper.In the first chapter,the introduction summarizes the current academic circles have made research progress in the institutional endowment adaptability of the elderly.The second chapter introduces the current situation of L old-age institution,the Department of the institution and the old people who live there,and analyzes the problems of institution existing in the management system,working group personnel,social positions and capital resources.In addition,from the four aspects,basic needs,psychology,institutional environment,interpersonal communication,this paper analyzes the adaptation of the elderly in living in pension agency.According to the field research,the third chapter finds that the elderly and their families,pension institutions and society are the three main factors that affect the elderly to adapt to institutional pension.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the social workers using ecosystem theory and cognitive behavioral therapy to intervene in the elderly adaptation institutions,and analyzes the specific activities involved.The fifth chapter mainly puts forward a series of measures from four aspects: the elderly and their families,self construction of pension institutions,government assistance,and social organization assistance to improve the elderly to adapt to institutionalpension.Research on the adaptability of the elderly in the practice institutions,the researchers hope to increase the social attention to the elderly care institutions and the elderly,so as to promote the elderly to actively adapt to the institutional pension and promote the development of the elderly care service industry.
