Intervention Study Of Support Group On The Spiritual Comfort Of Empty Nest Elderly

With the change of family concepts and the aging of the population's age structure,the core family structure of the only child has gradually matured,the "empty nest phenomenon" has become prominent,and the number of empty nest elderly has gradually increased.Since most children are busy with work and their families,although they can provide material support for the elderly,they rarely pay attention to the spiritual needs of the elderly.Empty nest seniors who live alone for a long time will have psychological problems such as loneliness,emptiness,and sadness,which will seriously affect their quality of life in their later years and require social attention and professional service intervention.This article takes W community empty nest elderly as the research object,and chooses to use social work group work methods to intervene according to the needs of the elderly and their physical fitness to provide them with professional services to meet their needs for spiritual comfort.In terms of needs assessment,a structured interview was used to collect data and an ecosystem theory was used to analyze the problem.It was concluded that the empty nest elderly lacked companionship,care and warmth,and the social support network was weak.In terms of specific interventions,guided by the theory of social support networks,using supportive groups to provide services to empty nesters who need spiritual comfort,so that the elderly can understand,trust,and establish supportive relationships with each other through group activities to achieve spiritual needs.Satisfaction.At the same time,in the intervention study of the support group's intervention in the spiritual comfort of the empty nest elderly,through the evaluation of the group's implementation process and the reflection on the effect of the group,the following three conclusions were drawn: First,the support group can give the empty nest elderly spirit Consolation and relief of theirpsychological loneliness,but the established support network is unstable,and the effectiveness of the group is limited to the group;the second is that the atmosphere and effect of group activities will be affected by the degree of familiarity and trust of the group members to the social workers,that is,the members ' The higher the degree of trust,the higher the participation of members;the third is the scope of the group work method and the applicability analysis of the service object are necessary prerequisites for practical development.Taking the W community in C city as an example,this article investigates and intervenes in the spiritual needs of empty nest elderly in the community.On the one hand,I hope to relieve the negative feelings such as loneliness and provide spiritual comfort through services.On the other hand,I also hope that through practice,we can provide reference for the spiritual comfort of empty nest elderly in social work.
