Study On The Construction Of International Friendly Cities In China In The New Age

Throughout the ancient and modern times,it can be said that the city is the epitome of the development of human civilization,whether in the western civilization or in the eastern civilization,the city has played an important role.With the development of social productive forces and the continuous promotion of social division of labor,the functions of cities have gradually increased.In the era of globalization,global resources have begun to flow around the world.As a connection point to connect the world network,cities gradually have the basic conditions for external activities.The urban network is gradually forming to produce a kind of external traction to the city's external activities,at the same time,the tilt of state power to the city urges the city to participate in the global system to some extent of autonomy,the combination of the two forms the internal conditions of urban external activities and external dynamic factors.With the increasing interaction between cities and the world system,the field and scope of communication between national cities have deepened.In the process of participating in the practice of foreign communication,cities have enhanced their international influence and competitiveness on the one hand,and their ability to handle foreign affairs on the other,thus making cities possible as subnational actors in diplomacy.City diplomacy is the concentrated expression of city's foreign communication activities as a sub-state actor,and the construction of international friendly city shows its important role and status in various forms of foreign communication activities.International Friendly Cities in China At the beginning,it was not the international friendly city relations established between governments in the present sense,but in a form of folk diplomacy,through friendly visits by inter-city delegations,to establish ties and friendship between the two cities.Compared with the friendly cities now concluded,the construction of friendly cities in our country originated from folk diplomacy.China's international friendly city construction work has developed so far,has been different from the original establishment period,the number and quality of friendly cities have been greatly improved,urban exchanges have achieved remarkable results,but China's international friendly city construction work still exists unbalanced development,lack of substantive exchanges,and weak docking with the national strategy and other problems.In order to make up for the deficiency in the construction of friendly cities in China and to provide reference and guidance for the construction of friendly cities in the future,this paper combs the problems appear in the construction of friendly cities in China,and analyzes how to make new changes in the international role of cities in the world and how to make new era "Belt and Road" background,In response to the new demands of international and domestic society on China's international friendly city work,this paper further discusses the innovative development of China's friendly city construction from three aspects: theory,practice and mechanism.
