From “the Belt and Road” initiative put forward in 2013 to the present, the strategy has gradually evolved from the strategic vision and initiative stage to the practical stage.Under the “2l century maritime Silk Road” planning,Vietnam is the only country connected with China by land and sea.Vietnam is not only the necessary pass for China to the southwest sea,but also the first country to the “2l century maritime Silk Road”.Vietnam has a very special status for China to pursue the “the Belt and Road” Initiative. In recent years, the research on China-Vietnam economic relations has also received much attention from scholars, who have explored the development paths of China-Vietnam economic relations from different perspectives. With the rise of Vietnamese nationalism, especially after China put forward “the Belt and Road” initiative, the negative role of nationalism in China-Vietnam economic relations is increasingly prominent. The growing nationalism in Vietnam intensifies the negative influence of Vietnam on the China-Vietnam economic relations in cognition and practice. To analyze the origin of Vietnamese nationalism and its influences on the development of China-Vietnam economic relations is the premise and basis for promoting China-Vietnam economic relations and carrying out China's “the Belt and Road” initiative in a better way. This paper mainly analyzes and explores the rise of Vietnamese nationalism and its influences on China-Vietnam economic relations. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter explores the origin and development of Vietnamese nationalism, mainly explores the historical origin of Vietnamese nationalism and its development and growth in modern times. The second chapter explores how Vietnamese nationalism affects the economic relations between China and Vietnam in terms of cognition. The third chapter falls into the practical aspect of China-Vietnam economic relations. After a brief summary of the development status of China-Vietnam economic relations, this chapter mainly analyzes the realistic manifestations of China-Vietnam economic relations under the influence of Vietnamese nationalism, such as anti-china activities and difficulties in cooperation projects.Chapter four tries to find some ways to promote the development of China-Vietnam economic cooperation under the influence of Vietnamese nationalism, and puts forward several feasible suggestions. It is a wise choice for Vietnam to put aside history and treat China in a new way.At the same time,it is also important to effectively manage differences, increase understanding and mutual trust, enhance people-to-people exchanges and expand the basis of cooperation to reduce the impact of Vietnam's irrational nationalism on the economic relations between the two countries. The economic relation between the two countries have many advantages, there is great potential and space for cooperation between the two countries.Only by making joint efforts to minimize the negative impact of Vietnamese nationalism, seek the best and avoid the worst, and pursue win-win cooperation, can China and Vietnam take their economic relations to a new level and contribute to the building of a community with a Shared future for mankind.
