The Case Work Practice Of Grief Guidance For The Bereaved Elderly

Bereavement,as a stress emergency,will cause great physical and mental damage to the elderly.If the bereaved elderly fail to pass through the sad period through self-healing or with the help of others,the lesser one will lead to the decline of the quality of life of the case owner,and the more serious one will lead to the elderly's mental collapse,crisis or even suicide,resulting in a new tragedy.Therefore,grief counseling service is very important.It can help the elderly to alleviate the pain of losing relatives and gradually adapt to the new life.This paper attempts to apply trauma rehabilitation to the grief guidance of the widowed elderly,and help the elderly express their grief through narrative therapy,so as to restore normal life.By using narrative therapy,empowerment and other related theories and methods,through formal and informal interviews,we found the needs of the case owner,and launched counseling intervention and resource link from the physiological,psychological and social aspects,such as the difficulty in falling asleep,sadness and pessimism,and new life support integration.The action mainly went through the following three stages: trust relationship building stage,grief assistance stage Guide the stage of psychological recovery and the stage of building a new life.In the stage of establishing security relationship,the intervention content mainly includes two aspects: life care and empathic emotional support;in the stage of grief guidance,narrative therapy is involved to find the flash point of the case owner,so as to establish new and correct values and help him out of grief;in the stage of new life construction,the intervention content mainly includes three aspects: economic assistance,new social construction and spiritual comfort Content.The old man who lost his son is no longer sad,no longer alone,but reborn.The conclusion is that the combination of trauma rehabilitation mode and narrative therapy can be applied to grief counseling with its flexible intervention method,and provide services for the case owner from multiple perspectives and resources,which has achieved good results.And this study provides a new perspective for elderly case work services.In addition to the common elderly counseling theory,such as empowerment,trauma rehabilitation model and narrative therapy can be well applied to elderly case work.
