The Research On The Competency Structure Model Of Police Crisis Negotiators

At present,the police crisis negotiation in our country has developed into one of the important means to control the situation to the malignant development in the handling of the police crisis event,and it is also the main way to make the police crisis event resolve peacefully.The police crisis negotiator is the key role in the whole negotiation process,has the extremely strong specialization.The selection of a negotiator with a professional training would maximize the effectiveness of the negotiations,which would otherwise be counterproductive and would lead not only to a breakdown of the negotiations but also to a failure to deal with crisis events.Therefore,the selection and training of negotiators are two crucial and urgent issues in the study of police crisis negotiation,and the solution lies in finding the basis for constructing the selection mechanism and training model of negotiators.The research on the competency structure model of police crisis negotiators can provide theoretical basis for the selection mechanism and training model of negotiators.The first chapter of this paper is the background of the research,the purpose and significance of the research,the current research situation at home and abroad,the research methods,the overall research ideas and innovative points,so as to clarify the importance of the research on the competency structure model of police crisis negotiators,and briefly outline the writing logic and characteristics of this paper.The second chapter of this paper is divided into two parts.The first part is the analysis and definition of police crisis negotiator and competency structure.Through the analysis and definition of a series of concepts,such as crisis negotiation,police crisis negotiation,police crisis negotiator,competency and competency structure,the object and content of this paper are further clarified and clarified.The second part is to explain and compare the theory of competency structure.Through expounding and comparing the theory of successful intelligence and the theory of competence,it is concluded that the theory of competence can be used as one of the theoretical bases for constructing the competency structure model of police crisis negotiators.The third chapter discusses the process of constructing the competency structure model of police crisis negotiators.Based on the iceberg model of competence theory,this paper extracts the description of competency structure elements of police crisis negotiator by using Qualitative analysis software.The competency structure model is divided into six dimensions: personal trait,professional attitude,professional competence quality,experience,knowledge reserve and skill,skill and strategy.Secondly,this paper further summarizes the six dimensions into three classes,such as trait class,middle class and easy-to-plastic class,and discusses the relationship between the dimensions,the advanced division of individual trait dimension and the internal logic of each element in the dimension of professional competence quality,so as to obtain the final model of police crisis negotiator's competency structure after deep exploration.The fourth chapter is the analysis of each element in the six dimensions of the competency structure model of police crisis negotiators.The fifth chapter discusses the practical application of the competency structure model of police crisis negotiators,and puts forward that the model can provide theoretical guidance for the selection mechanism of negotiators and the construction of training model,and then optimize and perfect the selection and training of negotiators.
