Social Mobilization Mechanism Of Sexual Minority Nonprofit Organization

Under the wave of globalization and neo-liberalism,Sexual minority nonprofit organizations with Chinese characteristics have begun to emerge in contemporary society.However,due to inadequate construction of the organization and greater social exclusion,the development of these public nonprofit organizations are slowly moving forward.This study takes China's largest non-governmental minority public welfare organization,the “PFLAG China” as the research object,and focuses on two core topics: “community interaction within sexual minority nonprofit organizations” and “social mobilization mechanisms” to participate in observation and collect online texts for indepth interviews with members of the "PFLAG China" as core research materials,and constructing a logical framework for organizing social mobilization Based on the theoretical basis of social mobilization research.This article finds that the "PFLAG China" chose the "family mobilization" strategy with Chinese characteristics,and formed a "de-organized" social relationship network based on social capital resources and a diverse network of communication platforms,and has established a set of social mobilization mechanisms that is applicable to the organization,which has successfully obtained positive social support for the lives of sexual minority families and individuals.In the end,It is true that the “PFLAG China”has various positive developments,but the external and internal crises still hang on the "head" of the organization,waiting for subsequent resolution and improvement.
