The Research On How To Improve Newly-Appointed Head Teachers' Management Ability In Primary Schools

Head teachers in primary schools,the organizer and implementer of a class,are responsible for all the pupils in their charge,for all-around developments in the pupils' intellectual and physical education,morality,as well as values.Therefore,these head teachers are compared to a ribbon uniting different teachers of all subjects,and a bridge connecting families,societies with schools and students unions.There is no denying fact that a head teacher's management of a class directly affects the education of a school.Thus,it is naturally put forward that a head teacher should acquire abundant related knowledge and theories to help accomplish his management of a class,especially the sustained all-around developments of his pupils and his class.To do this research,I took 62 newly-appointed head teachers from 11 public primary schools as the objects;moreover,all the 62 teachers have at least 4 years teaching experience.It is worth mentioning that in recent years,quite a few teachers have retired,and many graduates and postgraduates from normal universities are recruited.Owing to lack of experienced teachers,these newly-recruited teachers are required to be head teachers for their first teaching year;however,most of them didn't learn related knowledge and theories systematically in university.As a result,plenty of problems arose.In this research,to solve these problems effectively,I designed questionnaires on my own and from the survey,I narrow down the problems as following:weak role awareness,passive work attitude,bad study habits,poor management ability.From the research,this article suggests the training objects,requirements and strategies to develop a newly-appointed head teacher's management ability.Besides,it also sums up an effective training system,which helps improve teachers'management ability,promote a class development,and enhance a school's education.
