The theory of life-oriented education put forward by Tao Xingzhi fulfills the requirements of Chinese curriculum reform in current view of a broad Chinese education.Autistic children are considered a part of the special groups,and the problems of their education remain to be solved.Related education policies and regulations are actively proposed to strive to build a new special education curriculum system in line with the requirements of education for all-round development,and set up life-oriented education curriculum in those schools for the mentally retarded.Therefore,choosing life-oriented Chinese education for school-age children with autism as the object of study is to find out the language skill development and Chinese study of autistic children,to analyze problems and deficiencies of Chinese education for autistic children,to blend the theory of life-oriented education into Chinese teaching activities of school-age children with autism,to research the feasibility of theory of life-oriented education and life-oriented Chinese in Chinese teaching procedures of school-age children with autism.This paper researches the school-age children with autism from Wuhan Xile Children's Rehabilitation Center.In addition to the introduction,this paper is divided into four parts.The theory of life-oriented education and life-oriented Chinese education is explained in the first part,thus indicate life-oriented Chinese education is of great help to stimulate students' interest in learning,enrich their knowledge and improve their skills.The second part analyzes the characteristics of teaching factors and status of school-age children with autism,points out the shortcomings of Chinese teaching procedure of autistic children and makes it possible to implement life-oriented Chinese education.On the basis of this section,the third part investigates life-oriented Chinese education's effects on language training,knowledge assimilation and application as well as mental health development of school-age children with autism.Also discussed are comprehensive strategy for life-oriented Chinese education of school-age children with autism.The fourth part discusses the practice of life-oriented Chinese education for school-age children with autism from in-classroom studies and extracurricular activities,and puzzles out the significance and value of this paper by conducting life-oriented teaching practice,thus seeks to promote the development of the theory of life-oriented education and autistic children's health.
