A Study On The Correlation Between Demographic Structure And Regional Economic Development In Shenyang City

Population is an important impetus for economic development,Demographic structure is an important issue in exploring the development of regional economic.Demographic structure and regional economic influence each other,When the demographic structure adapts to the situation of the regional economy,the two will be complementary,regional economic level will increase as well;When the demographic structure does not adapt to the situation of the regional economy,economic development will be hampered,for example,Excessive population growth will generate pressures such as employment,housing,transportation,and the environment,the more elderly population will lead labor shortage and other aspects of the problem,therefore,the coordinated development of demographic structure and regional economy is the only way to realize the sustainable development of regional economy.In recent years,the economic development of Shenyang is not ideal,it is essential to seize the strategic opportunities of the new round of revitalizing the northeast for the future development of Shenyang,therefore,this paper intends to look for new opportunities for the development of Shenyang from the perspective of population structure.This paper analyzes the relationship between demographic structure and regional economy in Shenyang with the help of economic demography,regional economics,economic geography and other related theoretical knowledge and econometrics and other analytical methods,referencing to previous studies on demographic structure and regional economy.First of all,this paper analyzes the interaction mechanism between demographic structure and regional economy,and then analyzes the present situation of demographic structure in Shenyang from five levels: population gender structure,age structure,employment structure,cultural structure,urban and rural structure,and analyzes the current situation of economic development in Shenyang from five aspects:the total economic output,The development of industries above a designated scale,the level of fiscal revenue and expenditure,the level of investment in fixed assets and the living standard of the people.This paper constructs the evaluation index system of demographic structure and regional economic development,and the method of gray relational analysis is used to construct the coupling model of demographic structure and regional economic.The paper analyzes the correlation between the population structure and the regional economic development in Shenyang by using the data of the past ten years,and put forward feasible suggestions on the coordinated development of demographic structure and regional economy in Shenyang.
