A Study On Population Flow,Education Aggregation And Urbanization Of Outflow Area

Since the reform and opening-up policy was carried out,the consistent development in transportation,information and concept has made great contribution to the frequent population movement,which also led to population structural change.As we all know that both population inflows and outflows will influence the level of urbanization of a district.In current society,the urbanization issues are being paid more and more attention,and a series of policies are now being carried out by the central government as well as the local government.Besides,many academics have made considerable research on population movement and urbanization.On the one hand,plenty of studies focused on the region discrepancy based on geographical perspective.One the other hand,the studies related to population movement and urbanization mainly focused on the effects on inflow areas.Based on the previous work,this paper studies on how the net population outflow will influence the urbanization level of outflow areas.' We start from categorizing the influential factors to urbanization level and the changing relationship between population movement and urbanization.Then we can easily divide the whole developing process into different layers.Next,an empirical study illustrates the relationship between net population outflow and outflow areas and at the same time we conclude the mediator.Through the thorough analysis,the author believes that net population outflow actually can promote the urbanization level of outflow areas.This is because the majority of outflow population are low-income group,and most of them cannot afford the living expense in the inflow areas which are all developed cities.So some of those people will move back to their hometown and settle down.Considering a better education for their children,they choose to live in the nearby city,and this will lead to increase the urbanization level of that place.Therefore,we find out that education cluster can well explain the reason why net population outflow actually can promote the urbanization level of outflow areas.The author also finds out that the promotion effect seem to be large in mid and western part of China than the east.Lastly,the author provides some appropriate suggestions for the local government.
