In recent years,the script in the textbook used during the Republic of China(1912-1949)has raised lots of attention and many of them reprinted and come to be known by the public.While opinion varies.The aroused discuss on its value has drawn the educators' attention.Educators start to reassess the textbook used during the Republic of China(1912--1949)and analyse the deficiency of the present Chinese textbook we use.Zhushi Jun ior High School Chinese Textbook is of great influence in the 1930s,which was edited by Mr.Zhu Jianmang and issued in 1933.Focusing on this textbook,this thesis mainly analyses the compiling format and selection criteria of it,through which the author found its realistic value and time limitation.Researches on Zhushi Junior High School Chinese Textbook are rare and most of which are general introduction without any deeply analysis.While this thesis conducts a comprehensive introduction and thorough analysis on the textbook to make readers have a better understanding of it.And author's subjective assessm ent makes it clear for readers to learn its value and deficiency,which facilitates us to avoi d blindly praise.At first,this thesis introduces the editing background and editor's idea in compiling.And then,it illustrates the compiling format and selection criteria.At last part,the author presents its neutral judgment on the textbook,expressing the modern textbook can learn its advantage in compiling ideas and selection criteria but at the same time it also displays its disadvantage due to historical background and immature compiling format.
