The teaching of modern lyrical prose is an important part of high school Chinese reading teaching.But in recent years,lyrical prose teaching has exposed many drawbacks in practice.In the face of the dilemma of lyric prose teaching,Mr.Sun shaozhen firstly proposed the "Comparative reduction method"."Comparative reduction method" is an intensive reading method of text which comes from text interpretation and verbal creativity,aiming to find out differences and contradictions through reduction and taking it as the starting point of the analysis."Reduction" and "Comparison" tend to supplement each other.Introducing the "Comparative reduction method" to the teaching of high school lyric prose is a powerful attempt which practices the theories of new curriculum,and provides new ideas for the teaching of lyrical prose to get out of trouble.This paper takes modern lyric prose articles in the PEP edition high school compulsory teaching material as main analysis objects,and analyzes the current teaching situation of high school lyric prose and characteristics of "Comparative reduction method" through some research methods,including literature research,case analysis and comparative analysis.It also combines stylistic features of modern lyric prose to put the "Comparative reduction method" into practice in the teaching of modern lyric prose.
