The Research On Group Work Intervening With The Social Integration Of Migrant Children

In recent years,the migration process and manner mode of the external population of the southeastern coastal areas have gradually changed,experienced three periods phases:from the"single-style population flow" started in 1980s to the "couple-type population flow" in the initial stage of the 21st century,and then the current" family-style population flow".Now,more and more children study and live in a strange city with their parents,and thus as a special and large group,migrant children emerged.As migrant children experience a totally different environment compared with their past one,integration into the new environment has a great influence on their healthy growth.The research takes as the research object the migrant children in the D factory of Xinluo District,Longyan City,Fujian Province.With the guide of Social Support Theory and Looking-glass Self Theory,according to the questionnaire survey towards these children and their family as well as Interviews and Non-observation,this paper studies the potential problems of migrant children on social integration in aspects of family situation,school life,community situation,environmental adaptation and self-awareness.This research aims at helping these migrant children to better blend into local society,enhance their abilities and promote their physical and mental health through group work.This paper consists of four parts,and specific content as follows:The introduction chapter mainly presents the research background,the research significance,the theory foundation and the research contents,and analyzes the current researches and relevant concepts.The second chapter tells about the current survey on social integration of group members.It introduces the recruit way of group members and their basic information in detail.On the basis of considering such factors as family situation,school life,community situation,environmental adaptation and self-awareness of the group members,so as to analyze the problems existing in their way of social integration.The third chapter is mainly about the practice process of the group intervention on the social integration problem of migrant children.It introduces its objects,schedule,intervention process and effect evaluation.This chapter also verifies the positive role of the group work on the social integration of migrant children.The fourth chapter comes to the conclusion and reflection.It has made a conclusion of the research and given a self-examination of the whole group work process and deficiency of the research.
