| At present, the research on the vocabulary of overseas children’s Chinese textbooks is significantly lower than the research on adult Chinese textbook vocabulary in terms of breadth and depth, and the research on the vocabulary of Thai children’s Chinese textbooks is even rarer. This paper takes the "Thai Primary School Chinese Textbook" written by a number of Chinese teachers in China and Thailand and published by Yunnan University Press as the research object, and analyzes its vocabulary through quantitative statistics, comparative analysis and inductive analysis.Combined with the research results of the vocabulary of existing overseas children’s Chinese textbooks and the results of interviews with 21 Chinese teachers(including international Chinese teacher volunteers)teaching in Thailand, this paper carefully counts and analyzes the vocabulary of "Chinese Textbooks for Thai Primary Schools" from five dimensions, including vocabulary, classification, reproduction rate, interpretation and practice questions, and finds that the advantages of the selection of vocabulary in this set of textbooks are that "the reproduction rate of textbook vocabulary is relatively reasonable, basically between ’3-10 times’ " and "the interpretation of words is simple and appropriate. It can meet the learning objectives of Thai primary school students’ ’simple conversation and vocabulary to learn Chinese’" and "the practice question types of textbook vocabulary are also relatively rich";The disadvantage is that there are "many super-class words, lack of native Thai vocabulary, and low interest in vocabulary practice questions".The paper puts forward suggestions for improving the preparation of teaching materials, such as "selecting localized vocabulary, paying attention to the rules of children’s second language acquisition, arranging vocabulary according to real life scenes and strengthening the fun of vocabulary practice",as well as teaching suggestions such as "multi-supplementary Chinese cultural vocabulary teaching, addition,Thai native corpus teaching and design interesting and practical vocabulary practice questions". |
