Chinese character is the symbol system of Chinese and an important part of Chinese.From the point of property of Chinese characters,these as a non-pinyin word,grasp these is the hardest part in learning Chinede for Thai students who are writing by Thai letters.Although Chinese teaching is well promoted in Thailand,but it actually only stays at the oral level.Due to the huge differences between Thai and Chinese,the problem of writing Chinese characters has become one of the biggest obstacles in the process of improving the teaching efficiency.So the development is still faced with many problems and challengesBased on the previous study on the writing of Chinese characters and the ten months experience of teaching in Roi-Et Wittayalai School of Thailand,and according to the classroom observation as well as the interview after class,the author,taking the assignments,examination papers,exercise materials and questionnaires as the first-hand information,mainly analyzes the types of errors that are mostly committed by Thai students in the process of Chinese characters acquisition,and then tries to find the reasons and proposes correspondingly strategies and improvement measures.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the Introduction,mainly introduces the reason for choosing this topic,the research review,the purpose and the signification as well as the content and method of the research.Meanwhile,it also describes the current situation of Chinese teaching in Thailand especially in Roi-Et Wittayalai School where the authorheld a teaching post.The second part formulates the aim of the questionnaire which was conducted by the writer about the writing errors of Chinese characters in two of Roi-Et's best high schools(Roi-Et Wittayalai School and Roi-Et Strisuksa School)and the design of this research.At same time,this part also states and analyzes the result of this questionnaire.The third part categorizes and summarizes the types of errors in Chinese characters writing of students in eight classes in the Roi-Et Wittayalai School based on the first-hand information like classroom assignments,homework and test papers.etc.The fourth part analyzes the reason of errors committed by Thai students and puts forward some opinions and coping measuresin accordance with the author's own practical teaching experience.The fifth part is the conclusion,summarizing the previous questionnaire and the types of errors,the causes and the correspondingly coping strategies of the errors.
