Reading is very important for Chinese learning,and the Chinese reading is classified into class reading and extracurricular reading.The senior students of primary school have mastered certain basis for words learning.For their Chinese learning,the autonomous reading after class is as important as the teaching reading in class.Both will contribute to the accumulation of knowledge,the promotion of thought and the expansion of thinking in the study of Chinese.Based on what they have learned before,senior students of primary school show higher interest in learning Chinese and they have higher desire for expressing and exploring.Therefore,it is necessary to enable the students in the senior grade of primary school students to contact more extracurricular reading materials.But limited by all aspects,extracurricular reading level in rural primary schools is lower than that of urban primary schools for a long time.They can not catch up with urban primary schools in terms of the degree of attention to extracurricular reading,the diversity of reading materials,the guiding ability of teacher and so on.Hence,it's necessary to conduct investigation and analysis of the current situation and put forward a solution.Taking into account the special conditions of rural primary schools,this study intends to work on the ability aspect of acquiring knowledge in the stage of primary school senior students.We select the TJ Central Primary School of SY District as a case study point which is more familiar to me for four years.By means of interviews,observation and literature,this paper focuses on investigating and understanding the current situation of extracurricular reading in higher grades in rural primary schools.In the investigation,I found that TJ Central Primary School has the advantages of extracurricular reading teaching,such as most of teachers and students can recognize the importance of extracurricular reading.They use self-learning guidance and other reading methods to learn relevant reading ideas.But there are also some shortcomings,such as how to find a good balance between extracurricular reading and actual conditions,pay attention to students' awareness training,how to cultivate the idea of family education to realize the interaction between home and school,and create a reading atmosphere.Based on these shortcomings,the author puts forward some suggestions for improvement and finally forms this article.This study is divided into five parts.The first chapter is a brief introduction to the proposition,purpose and significance of the research,the current situation and trend of the research,the main research methods.The second chapter discusses the theoretical basis of this topic and mainly expounds the importance of extracurricular reading.We have started from the requirements of the new curriculum standard for the high grade Chinese reading in rural primary schools,analyzed the requirements of extracurricular reading according to the characteristics of the present textbooks to explain the importance of the curriculum standards to the Chinese extracurricular reading of primary school in rural areas.The third chapter is the main part of this article.It makes a questionnaire survey on the school,teachers and students of Tong hometown Central Primary School,and analyzes the investigation results about the present situation of the high grade Chinese reading in rural primary schools.At the same time,it tries to analyze the problems in schools,teachers and students in detail,and finally find out the reason for these problems.The fourth chapter,based on the theoretical knowledge that has been mastered,combined with the problems mentioned above,tries to find out the strategies to solve these problems so as to improve the quality of the high school Chinese reading in the rural primary schools.The fifth chapter is the conclusion which has summarized and explained the main contents of this paper.
