As the number of Koreans learning Chinese has been on the rise,South Korea has become an important place for overseas Chinese language teaching.In 2012,the Office of Chinese Language Council International(Hanban)launched the Chinese Programs in Korea(CPIK for short).In the context that more and more volunteer Chinese teachers have gone to South Korea to give Chinese class in primary and secondary schools for Chinese teaching,analyzing the situation of Chinese teaching in South Korea has particularly great significance for the overseas promotion of Chinese language.In the Chinese class for primary and secondary schools of South Korea,"cooperative teaching modes"(teachers from China and South Korea cooperate to teach Chinese)are the most commonly used method.However,cooperative teaching modes has some limitations in the practical application.According to author's own practical experience in cooperative teaching in South Korea,the pros and cons of this model are to be discussed which followed by some suggestions.In order to help Chinese volunteer teachers adapt to the cooperative teaching mode better.This paper falls into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part which expounds the background,presents the reasons and meanings of this topic and does a review on the related articles and presents the objects and scope of this paper.Chapter 2 introduces the basic situation of Chinese class in South Korea and illustrates its significance.In the third chapter,cases of the cooperative teaching modes in primary and secondary schools of South Korea are shown,to introduce the situation about Chinese teaching and Korean teachers in the primary and secondary schools of the author.Moreover,a case study is made of 3 cooperative teaching modes in Chinese class,respectively.In the forth chapter,chiefly analyzes and compares the pros and cons of three cooperative teaching model.In the fifth chapter,suggestions are given to teachers,teaching and government function department.The sixth chapter draws the conclusion and points out the limitations of this research.
