| The development and popularization of digital design technology,open source hardware technology and rapid prototyping technology have spawned the Maker Movement.Maker education is a kind of ability-oriented education.It focuses on "problem exploration and hands-on design." The core of maker education lies in cultivating people’s creativity through hands-on practice.Creativity is an essential ability of learners in the 21 st century.It is the most important aspect of school education.This paper builds on the design-based learning-based customer teaching model,which can be used in school education.It has a positive effect on cultivating learners’ creativity based on innovative thinking and innovative skills.Design-based learning(DBL)is based on learning projects,product production as the goal,and cooperative inquiry as learning methods.We can acquire knowledge in the process of product production and form a comprehensive learning method.It combines project design with learning knowledge.Research shows that design learning has advantages in improving the quality of education,improving the competitiveness of students,strengthening the combination of education and research,strengthening teamwork and cohesiveness,and fostering innovation capabilities.With the development of maker education,it is very necessary to seek a teaching model that is suitable for maker education.Both design-based learning and maker education emphasize the design,iterativeness,and achievement of learning.Therefore,the author combines design-based learning with maker education to build a maker teaching model based on design-based learning and apply it to teaching practice.This article uses a combination of literature,survey,and design-based research methods.First of all,through the combing of relevant literatures,the author generalize the background and the problems at the present and sum up the concept of maker education and research status at home and abroad.At the same time,the author summarized the connotation of design-based learning and the status at home and abroad.Secondly,according to the five elements of the teaching model,the author analyze the theoretical basis,teaching objectives,teaching process,teaching evaluation and implementation conditions of the maker teaching model based on design learning.Thus constructing a teaching model based on design learning.Then,the author designed and implement three cases based on the design-based prototype of the maker teaching model.Which are campus sand table model,walking robot,smart air purifier.Through design,implementation,evaluation and reflection of the three cases.The author continuously iterated the cycle,revised the teaching model,and finally formed a design-based teaching model.After the end of teaching,we can evaluate accomplishment of the teaching objectives,the satisfaction of the learning process,the teaching methods,and the degree of love of the students through questionnaires,student works,activity logs and interviews.Practice shows that the maker teaching model based on design learning can stimulate the learners’ motive,effectively guide learners to create learning.It has a positive effect on the development of learners’ innovative ability. |
