Maker education has received more and more attention from schools in cultivating students ’abilities.Especially,maker education can cultivate students’ innovative ability through practice.As a necessary ability in today’s society,innovation ability is an important goal of school education.The maker teaching method as a specific implementation method of maker education in the subject teaching has been valued by teachers.However,the existing five-step maker teaching method lacks an "enable" method in the creative and design links and is difficult to implement.Design thinking in design-based learning can provide a method for the implementation of the five-step maker teaching method,and design-based learning has advantages in cultivating students’ innovative ability and collaboration ability.Both design-based learning and maker education emphasize the design,iterativeness,and achievement of learning.Therefore,this article combines design-based learning with the five-step maker teaching method,and designs a five-step maker teaching method based on design-based learning.Test its effect in teaching practice.(1)Literature analysis and relevant theories.This article collects and analyzes relevant literature on maker education,maker teaching method and design-based learning at home and abroad,then analyzes the current research status,sums up the concepts of maker education,maker teaching method and design-based learning,and analyzes the the theoretical basis of five-step maker teaching method based on design-based learning.(2)Design a five-step maker teaching method based on design-based learning.The application advantages of the five-step maker teaching method in primary school information technology courses,the consistency of design-based learning and the five-step maker teaching method are analyzed,and the elements based on the design-based learning and the five-step maker teaching method are analyzed to design a five-step maker teaching method based on design-based learning.(3)Research on teaching practice of the sixth grade information technology curriculum in primary school.The five-step maker teaching method based on design-based learning was applied to the teaching of information technology in the sixth grade of primary school.Through comparative experiments,the students’ classroom work,operation task work and Williams creativity tendency measurement table were analyzed to verify the teaching.Effectiveness of the method.Analysis of students’ classroom work,operation task work,and Williams’ creativity tendency measurement all show that the experimental class students using the five-step maker teaching method based on design-based learning are better than the "lecture-demonstrate-exercise""Comparison of teaching methods.Research shows that the five-step maker teaching method based on design-based learning designed in this article is student-centered,which has a positive impact on the cultivation of students’ innovative consciousness,creative thinking and innovative skills,providing a new idea for cultivating students’ innovative ability in the information technology curriculum in primary school.
