In the 1960s and 1970s,the idea of "developing the school-based curriculum" first time appeared in the Western developed countries.Many scholars subsequently conducted in-depth studies and achieved certain results.The empirical research on school-based curriculum development in developed countries has experienced a period of prosperity,decline,and transition.The current development system has gradually improved.The research on the theory and practice of school-based curriculum development in our country started relatively late.After the Ministry of Education promulgated the“Basic Education Curriculum Reform Outline(Trial)" in 2001,school-based curriculum development and research began in China.In order to meet the needs of reforms,various regions and schools have carried out small-scale pilot studies of school-based curriculum development.School-based curriculum has gradually become a distinctive feature of schools.However,research on school-based curriculum is mostly concentrated in the middle school and junior high school,and it focuses on science and arts subjects.And there are very few researches on primary school language.Therefore,drawing on the concepts and tactics of foreign research,it is imperative to learn the connotation of national culture and explore and establish a relatively complete pattern of school-based curriculum development for primary schools.This research is based on the actual changes in the needs of social life and social development in D city,relying on local culture,fully integrating and utilizing all available resources under the current situation,and guiding the principles of ideology,periodicity,integration,and coordination.Next,it set course objectives and content,developing" Sunshine Reading" school-based curriculum,and conducting teaching practice.Taking the school-based curriculum development and practice of Century Sunshine School in D City as an example,the Century Sunshine School Elementary School will focus on the development and implementation of the school-based curriculum in primary school.Summarizing the problems still existing in the development and implementation of school-based curriculum in D City Century Sunshine School,and propose corresponding improvement strategies.Through the survey,the school-based curriculum in this study has become an effective carrier for the school to carry out characteristic education and enrich the teaching process.It has promoted the overall teaching and research work of the school and the overall advancement of the teacher’s ability;it is more popular among students and the overall evaluation is high.It has a significant effect on the improvement of students’ comprehensive quality of Chinese,and it also has a certain role in promoting the improvement of the curriculum system.However,there are still deficiencies in the process of the development of the school-based curriculum and the course content.The problem of the imperfect curriculum development and the unreasonable arrangement of the course content must be solved urgently.In view of the above issues,the author believes that prior to development,emphasis should be placed on assessing the individual needs of students in order to improve their subjective initiative;focusing on the basic knowledge and experience training of teachers’ curriculum construction;improving teachers’ knowledge reserves in order to improve the quality of curriculum development;Evaluation methods,scientific and effective evaluation indicators and multiple evaluation indicators are used for formative evaluation to increase the effectiveness of evaluations,and the intrinsic linkages between course contents are taken into consideration to enhance the rationality of course content arrangements.In the following research,we should continue to improve and explore the best combination of school-based curriculum and national curriculum,so as to help us find a new direction for school-based curriculum development in primary schools that adapts to the current development trend,so as to realize the development and teaching of school-based curriculum in Chinese primary schools and the rapid development of practical research.
