Influences Of Animation Art On Visual Literacy

With the advent of the era of visualization,requirements on audience's visual literacy also become increasingly high.In the meantime,Compulsory Education Fine Arts Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)and Middle School Students' Core Literacy Requirements both put forward certain requirements on students' visual literacy.Animation,as one popular artistic form among youngsters,has a full impact on the generation of students' visual literacy.In this thesis,the author used questionnaire survey method,interview method and teaching practice to explore the influences of animation art on students' visual literacy,so as to provide reference for teachers in art education,especially animation teaching,and help students cultivate good visual literacy which may also have a positive influence on students' life.During the investigation,it is found that in the middle school period,problems such as incomplete study,unitary direction and neglected course exist in animation art learning.Besides,problems are also discovered at teaching level.According to the investigation results,middle school students have frequent contact with animation and love animation,but unguided students are in an aimless state when watching animation works,which leads to a result that it is difficult for those students to obtain valuable information on their own.As a consequence,students passively receive information conveyed by those animation works with poor efficiency.Hence,the author combines animation art with visual literacy.First of all,visual literacy can be discovered from teaching process,and then based on students' feedback,influences of animation class on students' visual perception,visual aesthetics and visual information creation &communication can be obtained.Lastly,enlightenment is acquired from practice results that teachers should improve self-cultivation and teaching level through appropriate teaching strategies.Besides,in addition to fine arts teaching,animation is also an effective means to assist in studying of other subjects.
