Research On Professional Structure Adjustment Of Higher Vocational Education Based On Industrial Structure In Hunan Province

Hunan province' s continuous progress in reform and opening-up has lead to constant adjustment and upgrading of its industrial structure.The demand for social talents varies with this change.As an important base for the cultivation of skilled talents,higher vocational colleges are supposed to adapt to the evolution of regional industrial structure actively.The connection between higher vocational colleges and regional industries is usually reflected in the fitness between the professional structure of higher vocational colleges and the regional industrial structure.If the specialty structure of higher vocational colleges can adapt to the regional economic development,it will promote sound and rapid development of the regional economy.Otherwise,it may cause problems like suplurs or shortage,holding back the economy development.Because of the expansion of higher vocational education and the acceleration of industrialization in Hunan province,it is essential to study professional structure of higher vocational colleges in Hunan province from the industrial structure' s perspective.Firstly,this study analyzes the specialty structure of all higher vocational colleges and the industrial structure in Hunan province from 2011 to 2015 respectively by using document analysis method,comparative analysis method and statistical method.Then it explores the fitness between professional structure and industrial structure of higher vocational colleges in Hunan province through gray correlation method and structure deviation index.On that basis,the study points out some problems of the specialty structure of higher vocational education in Hunan province from 2011 to 2015.The study found that,from the perspective of professional quantity structure,specialties that are related to agrieulture,forestry,husbandry and fishery are insufficient,so as with those supporting leading industry.In respect of professional scale structure,enrollment in primary industry and secondary industry is far from enough,while recruitment in tertiary industry is too much.With respect to professional spatial structure,for one thing,some colleges blindly set popular majors,which lead to the waste of education resources.For another,higher vocational education is seriously unbalanced in Hunan province for teaching materials are too concentrated in the provincial capital.Also,there is a disconnect because professionals that set in some colleges are connected to too many industries.Finally,this paper puts forward some recommendations to perfect the fitness between the industrial structure and professional structure of higher vocational education in Hunan province.
