"Going to the library" is one of the textbooks for junior middle school chemistry textbooks of Shandong Version.It has the characteristics of large information capacity,wide coverage,and high value of emotional education.It broadens students’ chemical vision,improves cognitive structure,and deepens understanding of the contents of the text.The application plays a very important role.Therefore,it is very necessary to fully tap the function and value of the reading column.The Shandong Version junior high school chemistry textbook has set more than ten columns such as “active world”,“experimental inquiry” and “a little more knowledge”,especially the appearance of the “ go to the library ” featured reading column,further enriching the teaching materials.A major teaching resource provides teachers and students with more choices.At present,there are few studies on the textbooks of the Shandong Version textbooks that are systematically focused on the reading columns.The articles on which the Shandong Version is the subject of study have not been discussed in detail since the analysis of the reading columns.This article is based on a review of the materials of textbooks,reading columns,and junior high school chemistry textbooks of the Shandong Version.It draws on its research perspectives and methods of research,combines its own understanding and teaching practice,and conducts in-depth research on the contents,functions,and values of the columns.Analysis.Firstly,based on the purpose and function descriptions of the columns in the teaching materials,an analytical framework for the reading column is constructed,including three first-level dimensions and nine second-level dimensions that supplement the content of the text,deepen the content of the text,and contain scientific ideas and humanistic spirits.The dimensions are specifically: Interpretation Concept(1A),TextualRemarks(1B),Introduction to Background Knowledge(1C),Extension Concept(2A),Discovery Course(2B)that emphasizes scientific knowledge,and Knowledge that facilitates student development(2C).Reflecting the interest and value of chemical sciences(3A),the methods used in the expression of scientific activities,and the attitudes embodied(3B),the relationship between transferring knowledge acquisition and promoting human and social development(3C).Then according to this analysis framework,the contents of the12 "Go to the library" columns of the Shandong Version were analyzed.The results show that the arrangement of this column reflects the intention of setting up the textbooks for the Lu education,and meets the requirements for the transformation of the teaching materials.Columns are one of the paradigms for students to learn scientific and cultural knowledge.Through reading columns,they help to change students’ learning methods.The scientific ideas and humanistic spirit reflected in the columns help students establish correct scientific values.Columns are rich in knowledge,emotional content,and readability.Finally,combined with the results of the analysis,some specific suggestions were made on how teachers could better use the reading columns.
