Shenzhen,as one of the first batch of social work pilots in China,has experienced rapid development in Shenzhen since 2007,following the promulgation of a series of social policy documents such as "1+7" in Shenzhen.Although the government has continuously increased the input of social workers,the proportion of social work graduates engaged in social work in the past two years is still very low,and the loss in the actual work is relatively large,which has a serious impact on the development of social work.In this context,Shenzhen has listed the social work professional "Community Public Afairs Management Professional" as one of the ten most underrepresented majors in secondary vocational schools,aiming to cultivate low-and mid-level local community service talents.In the field of social work education,China has now formed five social education professional education systems with different levels of education,such as secondary vocational schools,higher vocational colleges,undergraduates,graduate students,and doctoral students.As the minimum level of social work education,secondary vocational education,whether the cultivated graduates meet the needs of the development of social work,this issue is worthy of exploration and reflection.Therefore,whether the social work education for secondary vocational schools meets the requirements of the social work organization in social work personnel training?Research is very important.This study takes constructivism as the theoretical basis,uses qualitative research methods,and employs social worker assistants,social worker organizations,and social professional teachers as research subjects.Through focus interviews and individual in-depth interviews,they collect relevant social jobs for secondary vocational graduates.Students' needs and expectations,through the feedback of graduates of social worker assistants on secondary vocational education,and the reflection of social worker education of secondary vocational social worker teachers,examines the gap between the social work education of Chinese vocational schools and the training objectives of local social workers.And further analyze the causes of the gap.Although the graduates of social work education in secondary vocational schools have been found to match the talent needs of social work institutions to a certain extent,there is still a gap.By exploring the gap between education and practice requirements,the study finds that a series of problems such as the "professional ability" of secondary vocational education prior to the training of "basic ability",the drawbacks in secondary vocational education,and the disconnection between professional education and practical work requirements are secondary vocational schools.The reasons behind thegap between the education and social work organizations' requirements for the competence of social worker assistants.Finally,this study also proposed the research limitations of the paper,such as the selection of Shenzhen L vocational school students as the object of study,and did not compare the problems faced by Shenzhen vocational schools in social work personnel training under the same conditions.At the same time,this paper proposes the future research direction.In the future,it is necessary to pay attention to the issue of how the interaction between the social work education of the secondary vocational school and the social work industry in order to promote the development of social work and better fill the content framework of the social work education for the secondary vocational school.
