| The number of disarmament of up to 300,000 means a large number of demobilized cadres then will work in the local.They have to forgo the army life routine and get accustomed to the new life style.New study,life and working environment greatly test their social adaptation capacity.Some of them are able to quickly get used to the local life,while some will be gradually familiar with the new lifestyle through self-adjustment.However,because of individual differences,a large part of those cadres will face obstacles and difficulties which cannot be solved by themselves and will need professional assistance,during the transfer period from"army men" to "social men".Their social adaptability is closely related with social stability and directly influences officers and soldiers on duty and the planning of national defense construction and reform in government organization.Therefore,it is very important to properly solve the problem of social adaptation of demobilized cadres.In recent years,community work put into the assistance of the handicapped,workers and left-behind children has paid back,but in the aspect of assistance of demobilized army cadres to be get used to their new life,there are only a few theses,especially from the expertized perspective to such research.Therefore,this paper attempts to explore an effective method to analyze the social adaptation of demobilized army cadres and help them adapt new life better.This paper selects eight demobilized cadres from city H to discuss the strategies and methods of social work intervention from the perspective of Empowerment Theory.This paper adopts case study approach and combine material collection methods such as literature review and in-depth interviews,etc.The study shows that in the process of transfer,the demobilized army cadres mainly face problems of role transformation,skill improvement and interpersonal relationship restructuring,etc.The group’s involvement in the social adaptation of demobilized cadres should prioritize individual initiative,give full play to their advantages and improve their social adaptability through the enhancement of individual and interpersonal relationships.This paper fills the weak research of this area.And it has contributed to the practices and theories in the work of giving preferential treatment to demobilized army cadres.In this paper,there are limitations.For instance,researching methods are not systematic enough and the analysis of materials is not deep-going enough. |
