As per the objective requirement of modern education concepts,a life-oriented approach should be adopted to chemistry teaching in junior middle schools.Chemistry is a discipline closely related to life.Basing on the status quo of teaching practice,teachers are more concerned about students’ mastery of basic concepts of chemistry and theories of chemistry,but neglect bringing life into chemistry and applying chemistry in the real world.In this paper,considering that chemistry comes from life,applications of chemical science in social life are researched in chemistry classrooms.Basing on the theories like Dewey’s philosophy that "education is life itself’,Tao Xingzhi’s "life education theory",Husserl’s "lifeworld" and Wang Chong’s argument against "born with the possession of knowledge",this paper firstly analyzed the development statue of chemical life-oriented teaching at home and abroad.Then through investigating teachers and students,the paper finds the current situation about life-oriented teaching in middle school chemistry teaching applications and analyze the causes of the current situation.Taking five middle schools in Wei shi as the research object,through questionnaires and field interviews,I came to know the degree of the students’ satisfaction with the present situation of teaching,the expectation of teaching reform,the necessity of the application of life-oriented teaching,the current situation of teaching in conformity with the requirements of the life-oriented teaching,and the teach problems of teachers who use the life-oriented approach in the course of teaching.The survey results show that both teachers and students agree with life-oriented teaching,and students are looking forward to the use of this approach in classes.However,at present,there are still some difficulties in the implementation of life-oriented chemistry teaching in chemistry classroom in junior middle schools,which are the simplification of teaching in the classroom and the teaching rules that deviate from life.I come up with some proposals to deal with the problems above and improve the life-oriented teaching.we should renew the thinking political education notion to educational objectives.we need to stay close to the reality to make the teaching content be based on life.we should take active part in innovating to make teaching methods combine life and overhaul the system to achieve be the diversification of teaching evaluation.This paper expounds on the implementation strategy of life-oriented chemistry teaching in junior high schools.In this process,teaching cases are presented that the teaching materials are closely related to life.Through field interviews it can be found that the vast majority of students were fond of the life-oriented teaching approach,which had inspired their enthusiasm for learning chemistry.In order to test the effect of the implementation of the subject,two comparative experiments were designed for empirical research.At the end of the experiments,the first test evaluation shows that the average score of the experimental class is 1.1 points higher than that of the compared class,the second test results are 0.4 points higher,suggesting that a life-oriented teaching approach is helpful for students to master the knowledge acquired,improve classroom efficiency,and thus promote academic performance.
