Zhejiang province has been implementing a new round of reform of college entrance examination that brought change in time node and form of the score,therefore the traditional two round review in physics teaching is facing a huge challenge of change,both to solve the problem of low motivation after the first xuankao and to pursue the efficiency of the second round review to ensure that students can make progress in the second xuankao.In order to adapt to the reform of college entrance examination actively,this study implemented cooperative learning in the stage of second round review(after the first xuankao and before the second xuankao)in physics class.Cooperative learning has been researched and implemented profoundly and worldwide,but it is not yet commonly conducted in Chinese classrooms,especially in senior high school physics classes.Furthermore,it is actually a pioneer attempt in the new situation of reform of college entrance examination in Zhejiang province.The theoretical framework of this study is based on both developmental theory and social interdependence theory.In this framework,the concept of "scaffolding" behavior proposed by Vygotsky and "cognitive conflict“proposed by Piaget are reconciled,the complex possibilities of the popular ZPD(zoon of proximal development)is explored.The effects of cooperative learning on both homogeneous and heterogeneous groups with three different level students are studied.This study uses quantitative method to collect data from the participants'second xuankao and found positive impact of cooperative learning that implies the effectiveness of using cooperative learning as the learning strategy in the second round review.It also use qualitative methods such as observation,survey and semi-structured interview to investigate into the participants'experiences and feelings to get a deeper understanding of how cooperative learning influence their preparation for the second xuankao.In all,this study focuses both the theory and the practice,aiming at providing a new option for physics class under the circumstance of reform as well as accumulating solid experience for further implementation of cooperative learning.
