Graduate students are high-level specialized talents who cultivated by the country.It's development not only affects the higher education directly,but also promotes the advancement of socialist modernization.With the development of higher education,the scale of graduate students is expanding.The cultivation of graduate students and the quality of education have become one of the hottest researches in higher education.This study selected 400 graduate students from Yunnan University as samples.On the basis of literature analysis,the professional self-consciousness of graduate students is defined as three aspects: professional self-cognition,professional self-identification,and professional self-regulation.This study understands the current situation of professional self-consciousness of graduate students,further explores the influencing factors,and finally propose corresponding improvement measures from the“questionnaire of graduate student's professional self-consciousness” and “interview outline of graduate student's professional self-consciousness” which compiled by myself.From the results of the study,The overall level of professional self-consciousness is above the middle level,in which the professional self-cognition score is the highest,the professional self-regulation score is the second,and the professional self-identity score is the lowest in the study of the current situation.In the difference analysis,the graduate student's gender,grade,profession and categories all show significant differences in professional self-consciousness.In terms of gender,the score of boys is higher than girls,but the difference is not significant in the professional self-cognition.Nevertheless,,boys scored higher than girls,and the differences are very significant in the professional self-identity,professional self-regulation,and overall level of professional self-consciousness.As far as grade is concerned,the scores of the third grade are higher than those of the second grade and the first grade in each dimension,the scores from the first grade to the third grade are increasing,and the differences are very significant.In terms of profession,the scores of engineering subjects are higher than those of science and liberal arts,which the highest is engineering,the second is science,the lowest is liberal arts,and there are very significant differences in all dimensions.For graduate student's categories,the professional graduate studentsscore higher than the academic graduate students in professional self-recognition and professional self-identification,and the differences are significant.However,in the professional self-regulation and professional self-consciousness,there are very significant differences.Combined with the questionnaire results and in-depth interviews with 13 master students,it was found that the influencing factors mainly include professional self-recognition,professional self-identification and professional self-regulation.Professional self-recognition includes training programs,curriculum and academic trends;professional self-identification includes school organization atmosphere,benign affect and employment problems;professional self-regulation includes practical activities,efforts and reflections,and choice again.Based on the influencing factors,this study proposes measures to improve the professional self-consciousness of graduate students.There are emphasizing on professional specialization of the profession and improving the training of graduate students;strengthening the school organization atmosphere and paying attention to school platform construction;participating in practical activities actively and taking the initiative to reflect on the profession.
