With the development of the economy, the labor market is rapidly developing and there are also many problems.Problems such as unemployment, gender discrimination, industry income gap, regional income gap,and racial discrimination affect the development of the labor market.exist.The phenomenon of equal pay for equal work is not only a manifestation of unfairness, but long-term accumulation will endanger the stable development of society.A common phenomenon in the labor market is that the labor market is divided into several relatively closed sectors, and the wage levels and benefits of each labor market are different. To solve the above problems, classical economics cannot give a reasonable and effective explanation.Classical economics believes that the labor market is a completely competitive market, and the fully competitive market is the most efficient and can make resources optimally configured. Therefore,in the study of the labor market in classical economics, the homogenization of the labor force is a condition that does not involve institutional factors such as gender, system, ethnicity, and regional and social factors. However,in reality, the labor force is not homogenized, and labor heterogeneity has been proposed. The reality of the labor market segmentation needs increasingly to be explained by economic theories and creates a demand for the labor market segmentation theory. The homogenized labor theory no longer has theoretical advantages and realistic explanatory power in the face of divided labor markets.Based on the study of labor market segmentation at home and abroad, this paper uses data from major OECD countries and China to verify the widespread phenomenon of labor market segmentation. The main measurement criteria for the labor market segmentation are gender discrimination, industrial division,urban-rural division, and geographical division. The fourth chapter of this paper mainly analyzes the effect of labor market segmentation on employment and income, consumption and urbanization in China, using the combination of theoretical research and empirical research.First of all,it analyzes the status quo of China's urban-rural division and industry segmentation, and combines with the employment situation in China to analyze how the labor market segmentation affects employment, consumption, and urbanization levels.By collecting data,we mainly used the data of the 2017 China Statistical Yearbook, selected urban-rural segmentation and industry segmentation data as models, and the empirical research section mainly adopted the OLS multiple linear regression method. Finally, focusing on the research and analysis of the labor market segmentation in the previous section, the paper focuses on the current situation of the labor market segmentation in China, and proposes to break the labor market segmentation and build a more flexible labor market, and gives specific policies and recommendations. Finally, the article summarizes and puts forward the deficiencies of the article research, and predicts and analyzes the future situation of the labor market.
