Along with our country universities expansion and economic structure transformation, the employment problem of college students already emerges. As one important part of the college graduates, the employment problem for higher vocational graduates appears more serious. This problem, as one of important factor, influences social development and smooth transition of economic structure directly and obviously. Therefore, research on employment problem of higher vocational graduates has intense practical significance and historical urgency。According to the current research works at home and abroad, a study and exploration on employment problem of higher vocational graduates in our country is developed from different types of labor market segmentation angle, with the labor market segmentation theory as a foundation. Finally, a valid method is suggested to solve employment problem of higher vocational graduates in the third part.In first section, based on statistical data analysis of higher vocational graduates employment situation and case analysis of three gorges vocational and technical college, we can find employment problem is the first barrier for higher vocational graduates entering society.In second section, the employment problem of higher vocational graduates and the reason of leading to this result are analyzed and discussed, taking the labor market segmentation theory and the different types of labor market segmentation situation in our country as the base.In third section, method to dealing with the employment problem of higher vocational graduates in our country is suggested from three aspects such as building new unification to open the labor market system, perfecting the government regulation system and constructing the trinity of employment promotion mechanism.
