The rapid development of information technology and multimedia technology has promoted reform and development of education.With the help of all kinds of emerging science and technology,improving teaching efficiency has become one of the characteristics of educational development.The 3D animation,as a multimedia teaching assistant,is gradually used in teaching by virtue of its three-dimensional,image and dynamic characteristics.Although the use of 3D animation is more common,the author finds that there are a series of problems about it.For example,the 3D animation resources that applied to high school teaching exist: the quantity is too small,the quality is uneven,the contents are not the same as students are learning.Based on this,the author has carried out a series of researches based on BluffTitler,and designed 3D animations that meet the needs of high school biology teaching and these 3D animations are output in video format.BluffTitler is a software for creating 3D animation effects.It can insert many kinds of materials and animate the material objects by adjusting parameters.When making 3D animations with BluffTitler,you can instantly show the effect of the works in the player,and the output of the work is video or picture.The outstanding features of BluffTitler are: multilingual(including Chinese),small volume,special effects,rich layers,and complex rendering techniques.Firstly,the author makes comparisons and analyses of the situation in the application of 3D animation in the biology teaching of high school,and determines the purpose,thought and method of the research.Secondly,the author interprets the core concepts involved in the study,including multimedia learning cognitive theory,cognitive coincidence theory and social-constructivism theory.On the basis of these core concepts and the characteristics of BluffTitler software,the 3D animation's features,the author chooses the chapter of “the basic structure of cells “as an example,designs and produces a series of 3D animations that exported in AVI video format.Then I explore the design principle and the production process of 3D animation.Thirdly,These 3D animations produced are applied to practical teaching,and the feedback information of application effect is obtained through questionnaire method,interviewing method and experimental method.Finally,the specific problems in the design are obtained from the feedback of teachers and students,and the design of 3D animations is modified and improved based on their suggestions.This study explores the principles and methods of making 3D animations that are suitable for middle school biology teaching and could be output in the form of the video.These 3D animations are intuitive and three-dimensional and I hope to expand the applicable scope of the 3D animation.I also hope to provide resources and reference for first-line teachers if they want to make 3D animation.
