Under the current context that high school students are lack of argumentative thinking ability,this paper attempts to put forward effective recommendations and suggestions to improve senior high school students' argumentative thinking ability.This paper mainly included three parts:The first part is about the discussion of the reasons for senior high school students5 lack of critical thinking ability in argumentative writing.Associated with the contemporary language teaching practice in senior high schools,the author summed up four main reasons of students being short of thinking ability.The four reasons are:first of all,traditional teaching methods such as "Spoon-feeding" have stifled students'independent and active thinking ability;secondly,the idea of "score first" has made Chinese teaching neglect the cultivation of students' critical thinking ability;thirdly,"standard answer" teaching mode has further restricted the students' divergent thinking and thinking consciousness;finally,the tradition of "superstitious authority" in classes has hindered students from thinking critically.The second part is about effective strategies to enhance the high school students'argumentative thinking ability.Based on the domestic and abroad related research on the cultivation and promotion of students' critical thinking ability,this paper aims to change and adjust teaching ideas and puts forward measures to enhance students' thinking ability from the following four aspects:firstly,it needs to create a peaceful atmosphere and a speculative environment to encourage students to dare to think critically,be willing to think critically and be good at speculation;secondly,it needs to advocate and guide students to carry out speculative reading thus promoting their speculative argumentative writing ability;thirdly,it needs to expand the training of thinking logic to strengthen students' speculative ability;finally,it needs to enhance students' speculative ability multi-dimensionally through the expression of communication writing.The third part is about typical teaching case studies.Associated theoretical thinking and classroom teaching practice,this paper puts forward countermeasures including creating speculative environments for students,carrying out logical thinking training and teaching students to learn thinking methods to implement the cultivation of students' critical thinking ability from reading,writing,expression,communication and other aspects.All these suggestions are specific and practical.Improving high school students' critical thinking ability is a long-term project.More effective exploration and attempts to better promote the development of argumentative teaching in high school needs the joint efforts of experts,scholars and teachers.
