Recently,China and Korea has starting raising their politic,economic and cultural encounters.Both countries begin to beclose each other and the "Chinese Fever" started,with more Koreans learning Chinese,and everytime from earlier ages.That is why the development of Chinese learning for primary school and secondary school students is getting stronger,and as a consequense,specific Chinese text books focused on primary and secondary school students appears too.Text books plays an important role at teaching systems.A good text book can motivate students and also help the teacher.The writer,from her own teaching experience in Korea,found that even there were improvements in Chinese text books for childen,it was very difficult to find an appropriate one.Chinese child text books edited in China were mostly aimed to English speaking country's students.Hence they were not designed for Korean students,they didn't sympathize with their culture and environment and also they were too focused on grammar and structures,making the students feel stressed and intimidated.On the other hand,the Korean edited Chinese text books for childen were more leisuring,more adapted to their own culture.However,often the editors lacked on linguistic knowledge,lacking reasonable theoretical basis and also the teaching methods tended to be too casual.To comprenhend this real problem,the writer chose some most used text books from both countries,and made a comparison with their structure,grammar,pronounciation,texts,etc.The writer hopes to help the improvement of Chinese text books for children by comparing and pointing out the good and bad parts of both editors.This article has four parts,the contents are:First part: introduces the significance of this research,the article review,the research object and the research methods.Part Two: introduces the theoretical principles and the evaluation criteria of the text books.Specifically the evaluation criteria for text books focused on Korean young students.Part Three: analized and compared the structure,grammar,pronounciation,vocabulary and text parts of two text books: "Great Children Chinese books" and "Happy Chinese".Part four: conclusions of the comparison of the two text books and given opinions and suggestiond for a text book edited in China focused on Korean young students.
