In the 1990's,the United States in order to improve their international competitiveness,proposes the STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics)education.Later,STEM education,which advocates interdisciplinary teaching,attaches importance to the interdisciplinary transfer of knowledge,attaches importance to the process of students' learning,and emphasizes the improvement of students' creative thinking ability,has attracted wide attention in the world.This paper explores the reading teaching of science fiction works in junior high schools by using STEM educational concepts.Through the reading guidance of science fiction works,it can stimulate students' interest in reading,improve their imagination and creativity,cultivate their comprehensive and comprehensive problem-solving ability,and add characteristics to the teaching of science fiction works in junior high schools.This paper using a variety of research methods,including literature research,action research and case analysis,and questionnaire investigation,the investigation about the present situation of contemporary science fiction teaching in junior high school students and analysis of two aspects of teaching and learning to find the essence of the problem,the submarine two miles ",for example,with the help of STEM education concept explore the reading teaching of junior middle school science fiction,designed to improve the students' language comprehensive quality.This paper consists of four parts,the first part is the introduction,focusing on the background of this research,on the basis of literature review to define the core concept of this research,on this basis,to determine the research ideas,content and methods,as well as the innovation of the research.The second part is the analysis of the current situation and causes of science fiction reading teaching in junior high school under the STEM education concept,focusing on the problems in science fiction reading teaching,and providing the starting point and ideas for solving problems in teaching design and teaching implementation.The third part is the reading teaching design of science fiction works in junior high school guided by STEM education concept,and the reading teaching design of "20,000 leagues under the sea" is carried out with STEM education concept.The fourth part is the teaching implementation,testing and feedback.It summarizes,gives feedback and reflects on the teaching implementation of "20,000 leagues under the sea" under the STEMeducation concept,obtains the enlightenment of optimizing teaching exploration from practice,and verifies and improves the research.It is concluded that science fiction teaching under STEM education concept can stimulate students' interest in science fiction reading,improve students' practical ability,cooperative exploration ability and innovative thinking ability,and cultivate students' science fiction spirit.Taking "20,000 leagues under the sea" as an example,this paper explores the reading teaching of science fiction works in junior high school under the STEM education concept,and tries to explore an effective path of science fiction teaching,so as to provide useful reference for front-line teachers.
