Career planning is a strict requirement for professional development of teachers.It is a necessary way for teachers to change from novice to experience-based teachers,as well as the need for teachers to achieve self-fulfillment and happiness in life.Career planning affects the speed and quality of teacher professional growth.This study aims to understand the pre-service education status and pre-service planning status of postgraduates in Hainan Normal University,the status of post-service development,and the status of post-career planning,reveals the problems existing in pre-service education and post-service development of teachers' college students,and explores the role and significance of career planning in the cultivation of biology teachers.This research is based on the relevant theory of career planning and related theories of professional development of teachers.A sample of 58 graduates(biology teachers)of Hainan Normal University is used as a research sample,and research methods such as literature and questionnaire surveys are used to carry out research content.The main contents are as follows:(1)Current status of pre-service education for biology teachers;(2)Status of pre-service planning for biology teachers;(3)Status of post-service development of biology teachers;(4)Status of post-service planning for biology teachers;the correlation between planning and the entire biology teacher training.The study finds that there are many problems that need to be solved before pre-service education and after-service training,which mainly include the following aspects:(1)The quality of education for undergraduate biology teachers for four years needs to be improved;(2)Normal student self-positioning is not clear,career planning execution is not enough,and school career planning curriculum is single;(3)The path of teacher professional growth is very diversified.The teacher training is not strong enough,teachers tend to be simple and time-saving ways of development,and self-cognition is not clear,execution is not enough,lack of systematic career planning guidance methods.The investigation and analysis draw the following conclusions:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between pre-employment planning and the academic performance of Biology faculty during the undergraduate period,indicating that pre-employment planning plays an important role in the cultivation of normal students.(2)There was no significant correlation between the academic performance of the Biology teacher during the undergraduate period and the performance after the work,which means that the academic performance during the undergraduate period was not significantly related to the performance after work.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between post-employment planning and post-work performance,indicating that post-employment planning plays an important role in the cultivation of biology teachers.(4)Career planning,whether pre-employment planning or post-employment planning,plays an important role in the entire biology teacher training process.With the help of research results at home and abroad,relevant theories,and individual ideas,the following solutions are proposed:(1)Introduce career planning professionals and optimize career planning courses;(2)Formulate normal career plans for normal students according to the training plan of normal students;(3)Normal colleges and universities to create specialty teacher majors;(4)Normal teachers Self-professional growth;(5)External support from education administrative departments and schools.
