A Study On The Transformation And Development Of Local Universities In Jiangxi Province

The economic development of China has entered a new normal status since 2014,and a fundamental change has taken place in the mode of economic growth.So,it's rather urgent for Chinese universities and colleges to cultivate a large number of high-level applied talents who has sufficient theoretical basis and professional qualities as well as applying knowledge to practice.In the vies of the types of running a school and the direction of talent training of different universities,the task of cultivating applied talents falls indisputably to local universities and colleges.While in fact,our local universities appears a homogeneous tendency in talents training.There is sharp contradiction between the supply side of the universities and the demand side of the market,and there is an urgent need to profoundly change the mode of the local colleges which means the university transformation.Jiangxi Communist Labor University played a significant and characteristic role in the history of education in China.Its contribution surpass the talents cultivation,and invented a new type of education paradigm.This university explored a new developing road that combined production and learning,business and politics,theory and practice,and brain work and physical work.This model of education is very similar to the aim and direction of the transformation of local universities that our country currently advocates.Therefore,this study attempts to select Jiangxi Communist Labor University as the subject in the perspective of history,and systematically sort out its experience in running school which aims at providing references for the transformation of local universities.The first part of the thesis carries out a comprehensive inspection of the background and necessity of the transformation and development of local universities in China from a multidimensional perspective.First of all,this thesis directly expresses the setting situation of local universities in China through the dimensions of total amount,region,and type,which in order to clearly perceive the importance of local universities in the higher education system.Second,this thesis further testify the the urgency of transformation of local universities from the perspective of the internal and external environment of higher education.Finally,this thesis explains the positive influence of the transformation for the development of local universities from a variety of standpoints,and further understands that the transformation of local universities is imperative which related to a universal requirement of multi-intersts.The second part of the paper discusses the status quo of transformation of local universities through the empirical research,and mainly sums up the problems in transition.This section takes three representative local universities of Jiangxi Province as an example,and discusses the current situation and problems of its educational orientation,professional construction,teaching content,teaching staff,scientific research through text collection,field visits,questionnaires and interviews ect.The third part of the thesis penetrates into the historical situation to minutely summarizes the running experience of Jiangxi communist labor university.Based on the analysis of the specific problems in the transformation of local universities,it is pointed out that it has been carried out from six aspects:the model of running schools,the orientation of running schools,the development of departments,the teaching contents,the faculty,and scientific research.In addition,it is very necessary to strictly follow the purpose and direction of the transformation of the local universities,and to search out corresponding or similar educational experience,and make every effort to refine it when arranging the educational experience in each aspect of the Jiangxi Communist Labor University,which aims to provide appropriate guidance for the actual transformation.The fourth part of the paper is provides a realistic path to the transformation of local universities which based on the perspective of history,the analysis of overall theories,empirical research,historical data and the problems of the transformation the local universities are confronted with.This part mainly contains two aspects.On the one hand,finding the blending of history and reality and conducting a full-scale argumentation of why the experience of running school of Communist Labor University gives a guidance for the transformation of local universities.On the other hand,this part separately from the different aspects and historical experience puts forward some feasible measures to each local university on the basis of argumentation,which in order to promote the transformation of local universities successfully.
