With the advent of the Age of Big Data and the growing wide scope of application of “Statistics and Probability” in all walks of life,the basic knowledge of “Statistics and Probability” has become the essential common sense of a future citizen.As the most elementary component in senior high school mathematical teaching,exercise lessons teaching plays a vital role in the cultivation of students' mathematical ability.At present,domestic studies concerning “Statistics and Probability” mostly focus on the dimension of teaching problems and problem-solving strategies.This research attempts to combine the two research dimensions and conducts a study on present situations of senior high school “Statistics and Probability” exercise lessons teaching.This research primarily adopts literature analysis approach,questionnaire survey approach and interview approach to solve two problems.Firstly,it learns about present situations of senior high school “Statistics and Probability” exercise lessons teaching through investigating mathematical teachers and students from three senior high schools at different levels in Kunming City.Secondly,according to the problems existing in senior high school “Statistics and Probability” exercise lessons teaching,it proposes corresponding education teaching strategies under the instruction of curriculum standards and education concepts in combination with the characteristics of “Statistics and Probability” knowledge and different types of exercises.There mainly exist two problems in senior high school “Statistics and Probability” exercise lessons teaching.First of all,chosen exercises lack scientificity.Teachers tend to choose comprehensive exercises in teaching without due purpose and pertinence.Therefore,the type of exercises is not representative;for coping with examination,teachers do not connect with realistic background in choosing exercises;teachers lack the ability to compile exercises and more efforts should be made to further develop and excavate exercises.Secondly,the teaching design process of exercises is not rational.Exercise design composition lacks gradient and level;the lessons teaching mode in which “the teacher teaches knowledge and students do exercises” could not fully manifest the subjectivity of students;teachers mostly interpret the exercises but give few suggestions concerning problem-solving strategies and approaches;teachers lack the ability to apply multi-media and other information technology;teachers have low summary and reflection efficiency after interpreting the exercises.Targeted at teaching problems,this thesis starts from the four types of exercises to propose optimal “Statistics and Probability” exercise lessons teaching strategies.In conceptual-consolidation type exercise lessons,teachers should focus on the representativeness,level and situationality of chosen exercises;in problem-solving exercise lessons,teachers should focus on the instruction for exercise variant and problem-solving thought;in review exercise lessons,teachers should focus on the teaching of recoding,classified evaluation and comment skills and remind students to conclude,reflect over and summarize exercises after class;in comprehensive exercise lessons,teachers should focus on the connection and reorganization of exercises so that students could find the law of exercises and draw inferences about other cases from one instance.At the same time,teachers are supposed to make full use of information technology instruments to create convenience for exercise lessons teaching work.According to above strategies,the thesis has respectively provided teaching design cases for different types of exercise lessons.The author expects that the research could trigger front-line senior high school teachers' attention on “Statistics and Probability” exercise lessons teaching and provide references for the effective progress of teaching.
