Research purposes:This research,through the 8-week intervention of Combined aerobic and resistance training to 30 overweight and obese people of Wujiaochangzhen of Shanghai,aims to explore the effect of this intervention method on health related physical fitness for the middle-aged overweight and the obese,and find a better exercise for the overweight and the obese,guide the overweight and the obese to take exercise,reduce the blindness of fitness to achieve the purpose of scientific fitness and offer strategies for the health problem of the overweight and obese residence in shanghai community.Research methods:This paper selected 60 overweight and obese residents of Wujiaochangzhen of Shanghai,who was around 40-59 years old and have been taking exercise irregularly and able to take more than moderate intensity exercise during the past year,as study object.The subjects were divided into one group for the intervention group,aerobic exercise combined with anti-resistance exercise,the other group for the control group,only the daily physical exercise,each consisting of 30 people(13men and 17 girls).The intervention group took the 8-week intervention of Combined aerobic and resistance training which was a hit in the gym;the control group took daily exercise autonomously and no organized systematic training.Then measure the each index of health related physical fitness for the intervention and control group before and after the experiment,conducted a longitudinal comparison and used Spss17.0 and Excel for analysis to reveal the influence of aerobic exercise combined with resistance training to 30 overweight and obese people.Research result:Through the 8-week intervention of Combined aerobic and resistance training the changes of health related physical fitness for the middle-aged overweight and the obese are as fallowing:1.In body form,weight,BMI of the men in intervention group all declined and and there was a significant difference before and after the experiment(p<0.05);the women,without significant difference in the height(p>0.05),had a declined in weight,BMI,which lead to a significant difference(p<0.05).the weight,BMI of the women and men in control group(p>0.05).The index of posttest on weight and BMI of women raised slightly than before.2.In cardiopulmonary endurance,the maximal oxygen uptake of intervention men raised than before and there was a significant difference.(p<0.01),the women more greatly and there was also a significant difference(p<0.01).There was no significant difference in the maximal oxygen uptake of men in control group before and after experiment(p>0.05)while a greatly significant difference on the maximal oxygen uptake of women(p<0.01).3.In muscle strength and endurance,besides the index of back strength and elbow band(p>0.05),the increase in grip strength and vertical jump of the intervention men showed the significant difference before and after experiment(p<0.01).Women in intervention group had a raise in grip strength and knee extension strength and showed a significant difference in grip strength(p<0.01)and knee extension strength(P<0.05).The control men showed no significant difference in grip strength,back strength and vertical jump(p>0.05)but in the increase of elbow band and knee extension strength(p<0.05)before and after experiment.Besides in knee extension strength(p<0.05),the women in control group showed no significant difference.(p>0.05).4.In flexibility,the level of Sit and Ranch of intervention men increased and showed a significant difference(p<0.05)while the women showed no in improvement(p>0.05).Both women and men in control group showed no significant difference in Sit and Ranch before and after experiment(p>0.05).5.In balance ability,both intervention and control group didn’t improve andshow significant difference in the eye-closedandsingle-leggedstanding(p>0.05).Analysis conclusion::1.Combined aerobic and resistance training has a positive impact on the physical shape of the middle-aged overweight and obese.The declination of the weight and BMI of intervention group after the experiment illustrates that this exercise can both lose fat and weight.2.Combined aerobic and resistance training can significantly improve themaximaloxygenuptake and cardiopulmonary endurance of the middle-aged overweight and obese.3.Combined aerobic and resistance training can increase the muscle strength and endurance.The women and men in the intervention group not only improved the back strength,elbow band,grip strength,kneeextensionstrength and vertical jump after the experiment,increase the muscle strength and endurance,but also prevented the potential athletic injuries.4.Combined aerobic and resistance training raises the level of Sit and Reach and makes good to improve the flexibility of the middle-age overweight and obese.5.Compared to the before,combined aerobic and resistance training slightly stretched the eye-closedandsingle-leggedstandingtime of intervention group,which is not apparent but helpful to improve the balance ability of the middle-aged weight and obese.
