For a long time,the efficiency of Chinese classroom reading is low,even after the implementation of the new curriculum reform,a large number of Chinese classroom teaching is still imparting knowledge as the main content,the phenomenon of teaching textbooks,reference books and teacher-centered class is ubiquitous.Teachers are exhausted,students are passively learning;Students' personality is suppressed,teachers speak too much,while the achievement is very little.The effectiveness is not in direct proportion to the efforts.Students read too little,and the reading time can not be guaranteed.Jinshan No.3 Middle School puts the method of “less teaching,more learning” into practice.First,it highlights the status of students' participation in reading,respects students' reading experience,optimizes the guidance to students and pays attention to the cultivation of interest and habits;Its aim is to make the reading class real,to create a harmonious and lively reading teaching class,to initiate the students' real reading,real thinking,real experience,real expression,real accumulation of reading teaching situation,to enrich extracurricular reading,to extend the reading scale,to increase the reading quantity and to improve the reading efficiency.At the same time,teachers could achieve professional development in the process of research and become scholar teachers with rich educational theory,a good ability of reading,a skilled control of teaching material,an excellent ability of teaching design as well as the ability of guiding students.Reading,as an important part of Chinese teaching,is very important to the cultivation of students' ability.However,under the traditional teaching mode of Chinese reading,Chinese teachers only blindly teach reading knowledge and skills so that students lack thenecessary thinking and application,thus the effect of reading teaching is greatly reduced.From the reality of Chinese reading class in Jinshan No.3Middle School,we decide on the exploration of “ Less Teaching,More Learing” in Middle school Chinese reading teaching.This paper consists of three parts : introduction,text and the conclusion.The introduction mainly talks about the basis of the selected topic,the purpose and expected goal,the significance of the topic,the general situation and development trend both at home and abroad,to make people primarily understand the thought of “ Less Teaching,More Learning” in reading teaching.The text mainly focuses on three aspects: the first part is the problems in middle school Chinese reading teaching.The second part is the strategies of implementing “less teaching,more learning”.The third part is the reflection and achievement of the implementation of this method in reading teaching.In the process of research,starting with the current situation of Chinese reading situation,based on the basic concept of the new curriculum standard,the thesis explains the study of “ Less Teaching,More Learning”in middle school Chinese reading teaching and offers some superficial views and experience by combining theory and practice.
